How to Play

To play Lottomania, you have to choose 50 numbers from 0 to 99. You can either pick your own or choose a Surpresinha to get them generated quickly and randomly. There’s also the option to pick fewer than 50 numbers and let the computer system generate the rest, or go for a ‘Mirror Bet’ to play the 50 numbers not submitted in the original selection.

You can enter the same numbers into 2, 4 or 8 consecutive draws. It costs R$2.50 per play. Unlike many other games, there is no option to select additional numbers and have the system generate all the various possible combinations.

Draws take place at 8pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. There are 20 winning numbers selected at random in each draw.

Prizes

You win prizes by matching the numbers you have selected to the numbers that are drawn. You need to match all 20 numbers to win the grand prize, but you can also win by matching between 15 and 19. If none of your numbers are selected in the draw, you also win a prize.

The following table shows the percentage of the prize fund allocated to each tier. If nobody matches all 20 numbers, the top prize accumulates and an even larger amount will be offered in the next draw.

Prize Tier How to Win Percentage of Prize Pool
Jackpot Match 20 Numbers 45%
Tier 2 Match 19 Numbers 16%
Tier 3 Match 18 Numbers 10%
Tier 4 Match 17 Numbers 7%
Tier 5 Match 16 Numbers 7%
Tier 6 Match 15 Numbers 7%
Tier 7 Match 0 Numbers 8%

The prize for matching no numbers can be worth hundreds of thousands of reals because there are usually only one or two players in this category at the most, so the money does not have to be shared lots of different ways.

If there is nobody in the Match 0 prize tier, the money allocated to this category is added to the jackpot for the next draw.
